Plan 9 From Outer Space Review from Buttonface + Full Flick

Plan 9 From Outer Space Review – When Mistakes Become Magic

A review of a movie so bad it’s become one of the most beloved cult classics in cinema.

Written by Buttonface
Genres: Horror, Science Fiction
Celebrate this 1959 Ed Wood creation for its cult status, brought to life with laughably bad special effects and comically stilted performances.

Unspeakable Horrors From Outer Space Paralyze The Living And Resurrect The Dead!

Corpses are starting to rise from the dead. Is it a zombie plague? No! Its Plan 9 From Outer Space; an alien plan to take over the Earth using our dead against us. That’s about all you can say for the plot because the rest of the film is made out of stock footage and forced (and fake) footage of Bela Lugosi.

Buttonface Says…

“Plan 9 from Outer Space” is often hailed as one of the worst films ever made, and rightly so. However, it has also achieved cult status for its unintentional humor and unique charm. Directed by Ed Wood in 1959 on a shoestring of a budget, the flick tells the story of extraterrestrial beings attempting to stop humanity from developing a powerful weapon.

The film is notorious for laughable special effects, cardboard set designs, and awkward dialogue. The performances from the cast are often criticized for their wooden delivery and lack of depth. However, it’s precisely these shortcomings that contribute to the film’s awesomeness.

“Plan 9 from Outer Space” is a prime example of a movie that transcends its flaws. It has become a symbol of the audacity of independent filmmaking and a testament to the enduring appeal of B-list crap made on used car prices. If you’re a fan of cult cinema or enjoy movies that defy conventional standards, “Plan 9 from Outer Space” is for you. If none of that made any sense, watch something else.

Note: Tim Burton made an awesome movie about the making of this movie and Ed Wood Jr.’s life called Ed Wood.

You can tell I love this flick by all the cool pictures I’ve collected of it.
