From Nudity to Nightmares: A Horror Fan’s Evolution
Buttonface is a lifelong horror enthusiast whose love for the genre began at the age of 9. Growing up in the 1980s, he found solace in movies, particularly horror, while skipping school and frequenting the local VHS rental store.
As a young boy, he stumbled upon the horror section, quickly immersing himself in a world of chilling tales, gory thrills, and, to his young mind, an ispiring and unexpected amount of nudity.
Articles From Buttonface
What started as a preteen perversion soon evolved into a deep passion for the genre, driven not by shock or gore but by the fantasy and escapism horror provided. Buttonface has always been more interested in the ride horror offers—its ability to transport viewers into dark, twisted worlds, only to leave them safely on the other side with a sense of thrill and awe. While many of his peers were obsessed with the more gruesome aspects of horror, he gravitated toward the cinematic experience, indulging in the fantastical elements of monsters, the supernatural, and the unknown.
As he grew older, Buttonface’s passion for horror became more refined. Along the way, he noticed a personal dilemma—he had watched so many films that he struggled to remember which ones he had seen and which ones he hadn’t.
His goal is to re-watch and review every film he’s ever enjoyed.
