A FEW Quick QUESTIONS FOR For the Author, Svensj

Quickfire Q&A with Svensj, the Author Turning Trauma into Art

9 Questions for the Swiss Author

Written by Screaming Eye Press
Meet Svensj: nurse by day, storyteller by night. In this rapid-fire interview, we dig into the life of a writer whose haunting work draws from trauma, art, and a love for dark truths.

1.Where are you from? What is your background?

I’m from Switzerland. mixed with some Italian and French.

2.What inspired you to become a writer?

The facet of everyday life, mental struggles and lots of trauma, it’s a way to tell people things without me having to actually tell them.

3.What Artists, musicians, or writers inspire you?

Suicide Boys as well as XXX, l love Franz Kafka

4.Do you think your environment has an effect on your stories?

It definitely does but not as much as I thought it would, I sometimes wish there was a little more.

5.What long term goals do you have?

My long-term goal is to put out my writing more than right now. Which is hard though, because I am a nurse and pretty busy, I need to juggle both better.

6.What do you think popular culture will be like in ten years?

I think smaller artists or in general little businesses will have a faster way of spreading and getting the view of people they deserve. The people will lean even more on abstract art or really old school things like in Baroque years.

7.What’s the strangest thing you’ve been asked to write?

I write on my own, I didn’t have anyone ask me to write something where I would have to put a stop on it.

8.How do you feel about censorship?

It always depends on what gets censored. But I think in a Poem or Art and what not, we shouldn’t. We shall be able to read the things raw.

9.What projects are you working on now?

Busy with several projects at the moment that I can’t discuss.
